The U.S. Police State Grows, Right on Time …

Paul Rosenberg, author of “The Breaking Dawn” and the e-zine “The Freeman’s Perspective” just exposed an intriguing act, signed by President Obama on December 23.

It has no official lay name, but Paul is calling it “The Ministry of Truth” and it takes effect June 21. It’s doubtful President-elect Trump will overturn or veto it. It’s all about national security.

Here is a link to a pdf of the 969-page bill:
https://www.congress.gov/114/bills/s2943/BILLS-114s2943enr.pdf

It funds this “Ministry of Truth” with up to $140 million for 2017. What is the bill all about?

It’s about clamping down even more on your rights and privacy. Mainly through media and propaganda. Amongst the most important new acts in the bill are (with thanks to Paul):

— It will address all information — from anyone — that might affect “national security” — a term we all know by now that can be defined however it suits the people in charge.

— To recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts aimed at undermining United States national security interests.

— It is authorized to work with deep state players and their networks of power, which are not specified.

— Analyze relevant information… from United States Government agencies, United States allies and partner nations, think tanks, academic institutions, civil society groups, and other nongovernmental organizations.

— It will be promoting its own versions of truth.

— Support the development and dissemination of fact-based narratives and analysis to counter propaganda (and create its own).

— Provide grants or contracts of financial support to civil society groups, media content providers, nongovernmental organizations, federally funded research and development centers, private companies, or academic institutions.

— To support local independent media.

— Maintain, collect, use, and disseminate records for research and data analysis of foreign state and non-state propaganda.

And get this …

— It is set up to take over Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, and the Middle East Broadcasting Networks.

Sound like privacy invasion 2.0? Or the Ministry of Truth — sarcastically — as Paul has put it? Sure does to me and I hope it does to you, too. Media manipulation, big time.

The cycles are picking up again.

Worse, to me it fits right into the oncoming E-wave. In my December Real Wealth Report I told readers how 2017 is going to be the year the world crosses the Rubicon. This bill — aimed AGAINST you — is part of it.

The cycles are picking up again. 2017 is going to be full of geopolitical events — it’s already started with the latest Trump/Putin spat and it’s going to increase throughout the year … leading to enormous profit opportunities in virtually all markets.

Right now, almost all markets I hone in on are following my AI models very closely. So stay tuned. Even better, become a member of one of my services and start making some money.

Best wishes and a Happy New Year …

Larry

This country does not need someone telling us what fake news is. We know: Main Street Media. It smacks of dictator type broadcasting. They determine the truth and smash anyone who does not agree much like Nazi Germany! We need to demand revocation of this agency!

This agency should be should be called the “Ministry of Propaganda and Lies” . In this regard it will take it’s lead from the Fake News Crowd, i.e. ABC, CBS, NBC and the White House Press Secretary. Very similar to the leaders of the Third Reich, i.e. Heir Globes .

Hey Larry, great work you do here but unfortunately insufficient. I am an old time reader of yours, I remember the days when you used to suggest solutions to the U.S. debt, instead of merely predicting them.
I highly acknowledge your models’ predictionary powers, but someone with as much gifts as yours has definitely more responsibilities than just investment advisory.
If I were Trump, I’d appoint you as my international affairs, Fiscal and Monetary policies, long-term strategic, and many other things advisor! I believe History is registered to teach us from old mistakes and not merely to help us predict when the next mistakes will happen.

There doesn’t actually seem to be anything at all in the bill cited in the article that could be considered as described in the article. There is nothing taking effect on June 21, and nothing funded with $140 million. What am I missing?

I certainly appreciate all types of informative articles and especially pieces like this that shed light on the endless spying and liberty stealing antics that spawned in a heavy onslaught manner with 9/11 being the trigger event.
I know that day was a sham. A setup.
And all that has happened since adds proof.
But what never ceases to amaze me is why there never any words of advise to Americans on how to counter these govt freedom stealing laws. Never!
How about just something simply written that shows people are the boss. Yes we can do something and here’s a link to: (congressmen/senator/etc).
Or if any reader has ideas on how to combat these attrocities then please contribute here:
But we never see anything of that sort.
Americans first of all need to wake the hell up!
Then do something. Speak out and don’t be cowards against very real and frightening circumstances we see increasing almost daily.
Americans have lost backbone many years ago. It’s way past time to get it back.
It’s time to kick some ass.

In your article you say that Trump probably would not veto this bill. But in your response to one poster, you say let’s hope Trump kills this bill. I was puzzled at the “probably won’t veto comment” while reading the article since Trump is no fan of MSM. So, which is it? Will he veto it? He should, on day one.

Larry, calling it the ministry of truth is a scurrilous misrepresentation of the facts. It is really intended to be a ministry of lies.

    Hello Larry
I live in Iran. We are under the West heavy propaganda here. In the past It was hard for me to find out the truth behind news. But after reading a few books and articles, now it is easier. Because I search in different sources.
I see some people are influenced by propaganda and easily change their minds based on these propaganda.
We are “under” the west propaganda. But I think you are “inside” the west propaganda. How can you handle these 24/7 media attacks?

    Larry,
I followed the link (http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/pentagon-establishes-new-office-of-disinformation-1.318952) you provided above and it took me to the ‘‘National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017’’. Your article made it sound like President Obama was secretly behind some special covert Bill but it is the Kitchen Sink Bill to fund all Agencies for 2017. There are likely many specific programs out of the thousands for the entire military and civilian departments that could raise questions. Citing a 969 page Bill and not giving the specific sections pertinent to your issue or not presenting it as such is misleading at best.

Please follow up with the section numbers of the Bill you are addressing in your article.
    Thank You,
    Don

Thanks for the heads-up Larry. With no malice this may seem harsh but I never viewed Obama as a change agent. Rather his position has been to maintain the imperial status quo – not unlike Brezhnev in that respect. Meaning well and cheery speeches just make the dissonance more difficult to bear.

Sounds like the Ministry of Truth as Democrats see it…
The Mainstream Media is at a crossroads… where it must decide if it will remain the Left Leaning Lapdog or
transform itself to maintain a seat in the White House Press Gallery..

The Ministry of Truth will separate the Journalists from the Propagandists.. They will behave or be cast out…
The Left is Circling it’s Wagons for the upcoming battle..
NBC making Megan Kelly an offer she can’t refuse is only the first shot at FOX… or is she going to NBC to retrain them as the New Republicans and save them from obscurity… Time will tell.

      1. If you believe in God (I’m Christian), all this evil is the work of Satan and his human followers.
      2. If you are an atheist, all this evil is simply evolution playing out. It is completely natural for those who are privileged to exercise their advantage.
      Not complicated at all.

There is no sarcasm in the term Ministry of Truth. It’s a reference to the big brother police state featured in the novel 1984 by George Orwell. The Ministry of Truth is the propaganda arm of the government.

The ‘spat’ is an effort to de-legitimize the election results by blaming some 3rd party. The same technique was used at Benghazi wherein a low-budget filmmaker was the assigned scapegoat.

What it sounds like to me is yet ANOTHER bureaucracy to layer on top of the gazillion already in existence in America to “fight” violence and foreign spy networks. All they do is fall over each other and gobble up more money. If they were all amalgamated in to a single “department of security and intelligence” there would be enough money left over to fund a decent health care system, something which most Americans cannot afford.

How is this different from the Office of Strategic Influence a.k.a Department of Disinformation started in 2001 or is it an expansion?
“The Pentagon says there’s no need to worry about its new propaganda office, or the controversial new plan it’s been considering to feed misinformation to media outlets in other countries. The plan comes from the new Pentagon department known as the Office of Strategic Influence. ”

You are too indulgent to call it Ministry of Truth. I would call it “Ministry of Propaganda”! Reminds me of Goebbels, Gestapo, KGB, FSB and whatever propaganda office in Russia or Eastern Europe. However I doubt the US version will be up to the level the Russians or the East German’s offices, though NSA has shown a remarkable nuisance capacity. And as you say, Trump probably wont be opposed to it, all to the contrary.
